A demister is a device used to prevent or reduce the formation of droplets (mist) in a gas or liquid.

Wire-mesh demister is a device used to clear smoke and fumes from chimneys and fireplaces. It consists of an outer screen, which is made up of fine wire mesh, and an inner screen, which has small holes through it. As the gas travels through the mesh towards the exhausts it leaves behind particles that are caught in the mesh. These can then be removed using a vacuum or manually by brushing or tapping them off with a wooden block or similar object.
Baffle-type Demister:
Baffle-type demisters are used to separate the hot air from the room and send it outside through a ventilation channel. The product is made up of different sized holes that create a windrow effect, which helps in cooling down the temperature of a room. It has an advantage over traditional wall-mounted type demisters as they can be placed at any angle and distance from the wall.
