The solid is a physical property which can be changed by changing the temperature. The solid-based on their different temperatures have different specific gravities.
Different materials change their density (specific gravity) when heated or cooled; this change in density is related to the internal properties of the material and not its volume. For example, lead has a very high specific gravity for its weight but it does not take much heat to raise its temperature and become lighter than air (gas).
Liquid:
Liquid is used in densimeter - specific gravity tester for the measurement of density of materials. It is also used to measure liquid level, viscosity and temperature.
