Product Definition:


Insulin pumps are devices that deliver insulin under the skin. They have a small tube called a cannula that is inserted just below the skin surface. The pump is attached to a reservoir of insulin that holds several days' worth of insulin. Tethered pumps are also known as insulin pumps. The major advantage of these devices is that they can be used for longer durations and with greater ease than conventional methods such as injections, which require frequent change of supplies of human insulin.


Patch Pumps:


A patch pump is a small portable device that can be used to deliver any medication, including insulin. It's an alternative to continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) devices as it allows patients to move around and perform their daily activities while still being able to take care of their diabetes. The main advantages of using a patch pump are the convenience and flexibility it offers in terms of usage.

The application segment includes type I and other diabetes. Type I diabetes, formerly known as juvenile or insulin-dependent diabetes has a high prevalence rate and is expected to grow at the fastest rate during the forecast period.
