1,3-Diaminocyclohexane:


1,3-Diaminocyclohexane also called as 1,3-cyclohexane diamine or DCHA is a cyclic diamine. It is a colorless and highly water soluble solid material. The product has applications in the textile industry for dyeing and printing on fabrics along with paper industries for printing purposes.


Application Insights:


The global demand for 1,2-diaminocyclohexane (DCH) was highest in the oilfield application segment at over 7500 tons in 2016. The product is used as a solvent and anesthetic agent in the oil & gas industry. It is also employed as a drilling fluid additive to enhance its lubricating properties and reduce friction losses during drilling operations.


1,3-Diaminocyclohexane (DCH) followed the oilfield as the second largest application segment with over 7000 tons of consumption in 2016. The product finds applications such as herbicides and pesticides manufacturing where it acts as a fumigant to control weeds growth around crops before harvesting or sowing them for growing food grains like rice & maize etc.
