A dielectric medium is a material that does not allow an electric current through it. Dielectric materials are often used in capacitors to store energy. They are also used in electrical insulation to prevent currents from flowing through parts of a circuit that should be isolated from each other.

Ceramic is a solid material that is resistant to heat, electricity and chemicals. The most common types of ceramics are ceramic tiles, porcelain tiles, sanitary ware (including bathroom fittings), refractory materials and fiberglass. Ceramic fibers are used in many applications including insulation and electrical conductors owing to their high thermal conductivity and low weight as compared to conventional materials such as copper or steel wire.


Composite:


Composite is a combination of two or more materials, which are combined to form one substance, by melting them and allowing them to cool. The most common composite materials are wood, fiberglass reinforced plastic (FRP), carbon fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP), paper honeycomb, ceramic matrix composites (CMC), and glass fibers.
