Solid DL-Mandelic Acid:
Mandelic acid, 4-oxopentanoic acid, and 5-hydroxytryptophan are the key raw materials used for manufacturing DL-Mandelic Acid. The most common method of producing this product is by using a chemical reaction between mandelate or d-mandelyl sulfate and boric acid. Other methods include hydrolysis of mandelonitrile (MAN) and calcium salt formation followed by oxidation with ozone.
