The ECG resting system is a device that records the electrical activity of the heart. The information collected can be used to diagnose heart problems.


12 Lead ECG:


12 lead ECG, also known as 2-6 lead or single-lead ECG is a diagnostic tool that records the heart's electrical activity. It is most commonly used in diagnosis of cardiac arrhythmia and heart blockage. The normal 12 Lead ECG has a voltage range from 0 to 5 volts and can be recorded by using an adhesive electrode on the skin overlying the chest.


5 Lead ECG:


5 lead ECG is a standard for monitoring cardiac arrhythmia. It is also used to diagnose heart diseases and monitor the effectiveness of treatment. The device works on the principle that an electrocardiogram records electrical activities of heart muscles, which are represented as a series of five waves or intervals between 0-9 seconds.


Uterine Fibronetic Pacing (UFP) monitors fetal movement by detecting uterine contractions.


Application Insights:

In these facilities, patients suffering from cardiac arrest are admitted for overnight monitoring and treatment if required. These settings do not have beds so patients are admitted on a chair or sofa for better care which requires continuous monitoring of vital signs including pulse oximeters for temperature measurement and ECG to assess the status of their heartbeats.
