Explosion proof electric motor enclosures are used to protect electric motors from high-pressure, high temperature and wide-ranging impact environments. These explosion proof motor enclosures are made of materials such as stainless steel, copper & aluminum alloys and fiberglass. The basic structure of these explosionproof enclosures consists of a outer shell or cover, which is thicker than the innermost layer; this outer covering acts as a heat shield for the enclosed device.
