Product Definition:
An electric vacuum furnace is a type of furnace that uses an electric arc to heat the workpiece. The workpiece is placed in a crucible and surrounded by electrodes. When the furnace is turned on, the electrodes produce an arc that heats the crucible and the workpiece.

It works on the simple principle that if an electric current is passed through a resistive material, its temperature will rise and it will eventually produce heat.
