A colourless, volatile liquid, BBr3, used as a reagent in organic synthesis. It is also employed in the production of dibromobenzene and other brominated compounds.


5N is a term used for the concentration of bromine in a saturated solution. It has no real units as it does not exist in nature. 5N is often used to refer to the concentration of bromine in a saturated solution, which can be represented byBr2+ Br- 2 or BF4- 3. The symbol N stands for normal and comes from the Latin word meaning "standard".


6N is a chemical compound of bromine and nitrogen. It has a molecular weight of N2Br7, which is very high compared to other compounds such as Br2 or N2O. The reason for the high molecular weight is that 6N contains an additional six bromine atoms. This makes it different from other compounds in its class and gives it an advantage when used in various applications such as gaseous diffusion, refrigerants, etc.

Electronic boron tribromide is used in the semiconductor industry for cleaning equipment in electronic factories as it helps remove grease, oil and any other organic compounds from the equipment which leads to improved performance of the machine over a longer period of time.
