Enasidenib (IDHIFA) is a small molecule inhibitor of the mutated isocitrate dehydrogenase 2 (IDH2) enzyme. It was approved by the US Food and Drug Administration in August 2017 for the treatment of relapsed or refractory acute myeloid leukemia with an IDH2 mutation.


50mg:


50mg is used to treat patients with advanced renal cell carcinoma, which has metastasized to other organs. It's a type of immuno-oncology drug that works by increasing the body’s immune response against cancer cells. The 50 mg tablet is taken by mouth as a single dose every three to four weeks and it can also be administered through an IV drip in some cases.


100mg:


100mg is used to treat patients who have developed resistance to Doxorubicin, Adriamycin, and 5-fluorouracil. It is also used in combination with those drugs as a part of chemotherapy for treating cancer.


The emergence of multi drug resistant (MDR) tumor cells that are unresponsive to standard chemotherapeutic agents has raised the need for developing novel therapeutic strategies against such tumors.
