Single point enclosed flares are used to provide protection from light, heat, and flame for people or objects in open areas. They can be used as a safe exit route during fire emergencies and also to protect valuable equipment.
Multi-point Enclosed Flares:
Multi-point enclosed flares are used in enclosed flareshields to provide protection from multiple threats. They can protect against surface-to-air missiles, anti-aircraft shells, and aerial bombs. The multi-point enclosed flare is a circular device made up of lightweight material that opens like a flower when triggered to release the smoke and flame. It provides an excellent visual display with smoke that gives away the position of the target for enemy forces located far away.
Application Insights:
Petrochemical plant was the largest application segment in 2017 and accounted for over 40% of the total demand. The growth is attributed to rising petrochemical production across the globe. Enclosed flares are used at various stages of gasification, synthesis, desulphurization, and fractionation processes to provide heat or light for processing plants or to incinerate fly ash from coal-fired power plants.
