Product Definition:


A dye used in histology and cytology to stain muscle, cartilage, connective tissue, and some blood cells. It is a red dye that turns pink when combined with hematoxylin.


Eosin Y:


Eosin Y is also known as eosin yellow O or yelb and is a colorless liquid with a mild odor. It is produced from o-carboxy methyl cellulose (CMC) which is obtained from the reaction of cellulose with alkali. Cellulose being an organic compound, it has pore structure like other natural fibers such as cotton, jute, kenaf etc.


Eosin B:


Eosin is a chemical compound and an allergen. It is produced by the reaction of oleic acid (a fatty acid) with ethylene oxide in the presence of calcium hypochlorite or sodium thiosulphate as catalyst. The product has a strong smell like garlic and tastes slightly sweet.
