VA (Approximately 4 to 30%):


VA is a copolymer of vinyl alcohol and ethylene. It has similar chemical properties as ethylene but lower molecular weight. VA is used in various applications such as adhesives, sealants, coatings, and elastomers owing to its high flexibility at low temperatures along with excellent mechanical strength and toughness. The growing demand for flexible PVC substitutes in packaging applications on account of their superior barrier properties against moisture & oxygen is expected to drive the market over the forecast period.
