The Electrolytic Fenton reactor (EFR) is a microbial fuel cell technology that uses electrolyte as an electron donor and the microorganisms to produce energy. The process has been in use since the early eighties and was commercialized by ABB Ltd. & Siemens AG in 1987, for power generation applications.


Bio-Fenton reactor:


Bio-fenton is a microbial fuel cell (MFC) which uses chemical energy from organic compounds to produce water and carbon dioxide. Bio-fenton has the ability to accelerate the reaction by 100 times compared to traditional fission reactors. The product formed can be used as an additive in fossil fuels or can be directly consumed in applications such as power generation, transportation, and household activities.
