Product Definition:
A flangedless butterfly valve is a valve that uses a disc to regulate flow through the valve. The disc is positioned between two seats, one on each side of the disc, and is held in place by a stem. When the stem is turned, the disc moves between the seats and regulates flow. A flangedless butterfly valve does not use flanges to attach it to piping; instead, it uses clamps or bolts.
Soft Seal Valve:
The soft seal valve is a device that opens and closes an opening in response to the pressure difference between two sides. It does not have a sealing surface, but rather relies on the physical properties of materials for leak prevention. Hard Seal Valve:
Hard seal valve is a one-piece, non-closing valve that uses a conventional stem and seat with no gasket to operate. The only difference between hard seal and soft seal valves is the way they are manufactured. A hard seal has an extra metal shim or washer between the stem and seat which makes it tighter than a soft seal, making it less likely to leak.
