Low viscosity liquid flow meters are used to measure the rate of a liquid in pipes or vessels. The meter measures the rate of liquids at low shear rates which makes it an ideal device for measuring accurate rates in difficult to access places such as confined spaces or tight spots where conventional meters cannot be installed.
High Viscosity:
High viscosity liquid flow meters are used to measure the rate of liquids or fluids such as acids, glycols, oils and greases. These high viscosity liquids have a tendency to reduce the movement of the measuring cup due to its high molecular weight which is conventionally known as “skin”. The skin has a higher surface area compared to low Viscosity liquid and thus it will take longer time for complete coverage by cup movement resulting in increased reading accuracy.
