Product Definition:


FGDG is a by-product of flue gas desulfurization (FGD), which is the process of removing sulfur dioxide from exhaust gases produced by power plants and other industrial facilities. FGDG can be used to produce plaster, stucco, and wallboard.


Solid:


Solid is the gypsum wallboard or plaster of Paris, which has been pre-treated with sulfuric acid. It is used in FGDG process to provide a barrier between the FGDG solution and the gypsum wall surface. Solid FGDG products are available in different forms such as blocks, sheets, pellets and boards.


Powder:


Powder is made up of organic materials such as wood, coal, and natural fibers. It acts as a adsorbent for toxic elements in flue gas and removes them before it is released into the atmosphere. FGDG uses powder to absorb sulfur dioxide (SO2) from flue gas which is then sold or used in other applications. The product has been gaining popularity due to its ability to remove both non-condensable and condensable gases with ease.
