Automatic coating machines are used for applying paints, varnishes or inks on various products such as metal, glass, paper and plastic. The product to be coated is placed on a table and then the table is lowered into the machine which contains a series of rollers through which passes an ink or paint solution. As the product is passed over these rollers it is coated with paint and then taken out through an outlet at the other end.
Semi-Automatic:
Semi-automatic coating machine is used for applying thin films of liquid coating on tablets, capsules and other oral products. It consists of a hopper for feeding the product, a chamber with coated tablet or capsule to be coated followed by another chamber with paint supply solution and then coater. The device has an automated control system which varies pressure and speed as per requirement applied to ensure even coatings on tablets/capsules.
