99% is a propionic acid with less than 1% of impurities. It has been widely used in the food industry as a preservative and to prevent mold growth on foods such as bakery products, canned vegetables & fruits, processed meat, etc. 99% is commercially available in two forms including liquid and solid (brine). The brine form can be used directly for preservation or can be converted into the liquid form by adding water at suitable concentration.
