The dry-laid process is a method of manufacturing fiber by spreading molten glass over a cloth or fabric and allowing it to cool. The finished product is known as ‘dry laid’, hence the name. It has several advantages over wet lay; for instance, in wet lay the fibers are formed from spun yarns while in dry-laid they are formed from molten glass that has been spread directly on the cloth.


Wet-Laid Process:


The wet-laid process is a method of manufacturing glass fiber non-woven fabric. It includes the steps of mixing raw materials such as glass fibers, resin, and additives in the right proportion to obtain a homogenous mixture; followed by applying this material on an open mold under high pressure.
