Ordinary type flowmeter is a device used to measure the flow of liquids and gases. The meter displays readings in terms of mass or volume per unit time (usually expressed in cubic centimeter per second).
Preservative Type:
Preservatives are added to the glass rotor flowmeter in order to extend its life and prevent it from damage caused by contaminants such as water, air, oil or other gases. The type of preservative used depends on the environment in which it is installed. Some of the commonly used types are phosphates, silicon carbide and boron nitride among others.
