3N, also known as triple neutral, is a term used for the base or starting point in any type of plating process. The only difference between 3N and 6N items are their sizes; while 6N has more surface area per unit volume than 3N, both have similar weight to volume ratio.
4N:
4N is the abbreviation for Four Nuclei. It is a system that represents an important aspect of platinum-based drug therapy in cancer treatment. The 4N model includes four key elements to represent the activity of platinum compounds used in cancer treatment: nuclear localization, non-pluripotent differentiation, apoptosis inhibition and necrosis induction.
