2N, also known as twice normal or twice the normality is a term used in reference to the purity of nitrogen dioxide. It has no relation with any other chemical or element and refers to a specific level of purity for this compound. 2N is normally represented by the symbol N/2 where “/” represents division by zero since there are no natural occurrences of 2N ever been found on earth.


3N:


3N (trimethylene difluoride) is a highly reactive, non-flammable gas with a slight aroma. It is manufactured by the reaction of hydrofluoric acid and fluorocarbon gases in the presence of calcium fluoride which forms an intermediate called tetrafluoroethylene. The final product 3N2 is produced as a colorless & clear liquid that has no odor.
