It helps to determine if a motor is over-loaded or under-loaded and also helps to identify the operating condition of any hydraulic system. ODR uses centrifugal force acting on fluid particles which creates pressure fluctuations within the system, these fluctuations are used for measuring flow rate.
Two Directions of Rotation:
The two directions of rotation are defined as the direction in which a rigid body can be turned without any change in its length. The two directions of rotation are important for hydraulic dynamometers, which is used to measure force and torque. In normal operation, hydraulic motors have no reverse flow; however, they do have some leakage that requires to be taken into consideration when designing the system.
