Hydrogenated glycerol rosin ester (HG-RSE) is a waxy, natural vegetable fat that is found in the outer portion of the plant stem and roots. It consists of one or more long-chained fatty acids with a backbone of glycerol molecule. The product has high melting point and low water solubility which makes it ideal for use in heat transfer applications such as wax melt manufacturing.
Hydrogenated Pentaerythritol Rosin Ester:
Hydrogenated pentaerythritol rosin ester (HPE) is a colorless liquid with an odor similar to rancid butter. It is manufactured by the catalytic hydrogenation of paraerythritol. The yield from this reaction is approximately 70% and it has been used as a feedstock for polyurethane foams, adhesives, coatings, and inks.
