It does this by heating the water as it comes out of the shower head, which results in less time being needed to take a shower. Infrared sensor type is used in induction water saver for the purpose of temperature measurement. It works on the principle of thermography where a temperature sensitive emulsion is applied to an object and then that image is captured by a digital camera or video recorder. The images are analyzed by special software which gives accurate reading of the objects temperature.
Capacitive Sensor Type:
A capacitive sensor is a device that works on the principle of charge coupled with dielectric constant. It has a sensing area, which is made from an insulating material and two metal plates, one of which is normally grounded and the other side serves as an electrode for measuring the charge. The movement of water molecules between these two plates creates a change in electric potential and this change in potential can be used to measure various physical parameters such as temperature or volume.
