Industrial Aluminum Nitride is a white crystalline powder that is used as an additive in aluminum alloys to improve their strength and hardness. It can also be used as a ceramic material for various applications.


Direct Nitridation Method:


The direct nitridation method is used to produce aluminum nitride which is a solid form of nitrogen-based alloy. It has properties such as high thermal conductivity, low density and high compressive strength. The direct nitridation method produces pure aluminum nitride with the help of different kinds of catalysts like pyridine, imidazole and triazole based on the requirement.


Carbothermal Reduction and Nitridation Method:


Carbothermal reduction and nitridation method are used in the industrial aluminum nitride market for production of hexagonal boron nitride (hBN) and colemanite. These methods are majorly used for reducing impurities present in the feedstock such as carbon, iron, silicon, manganese & other metals along with nitrogen oxides.
