Dense Soda Ash:
Dense Soda Ash, also known as KAO or DSA, is a special type of soda ash that has higher density than regular soda ash. It is produced by heating normal soda ash to very high temperatures (around 1400°C) under extremely high pressure (Around 200-300 kg/sq.cm). The end product has the same chemical properties as normal soda ash and can be used in the production of industrial grade sodium chloride.
Light Soda Ash:
Light soda ash is a type of soda ash, which contains less than 2.8% sodium and more than 0.3% potassium by weight. It is also known as leached or acid soda ash, owing to the method of production where it is extracted from limestone using water at high pressure and temperature (as much as 150°C).
Application Insights:

The soda ash used in chemical plants is produced from coal or shale gas, which is abundant and cheap source of energy.
