Hot rolled steel sheets are produced by heating steel above the recrystallization temperature of the metal. The process gives a higher yield and reduces processing time. It also helps in producing thinner sheets with less wastage, which is highly preferable for applications such as roofing where weight is an important factor.

Cold Rolled:
Cold rolled sheet steel is a thin gauge metal that has been processed to remove the majority of the carbon and iron from its surface. The remaining impurities during cold rolling help in improving the mechanical properties of steel such as ductility, yield strength, hardness, and corrosion resistance.
