Product Definition:
Iron oxide is a chemical compound with the formula Fe2O3. It is one of the three main oxides of iron, the others being iron(III) oxide and iron(II) oxide. Iron(III) oxide is called ferric oxide and iron(II) oxide is called ferrous oxide.
Red Iron Oxide:
Red iron oxide is a type of iron oxide, which has high content of ferric (Fe3+) and magnetite (Fe2O3) minerals. It usually occurs in two forms: Hematite or limonite, and goethite. The most common source of hematite is from the blood of dried up rivers & lakes.
Black Iron Oxide:
Black iron oxide is a type of iron oxide, which has high absorption capacity for carbon dioxide. It is produced by the thermal decomposition of hematite. Black Iron Oxide (BIO) can be used as an adsorbent and catalyst in chemical reactions. BIO exhibits good catalytic activity for the promotion of various chemical reactions including oxidation, hydrolysis, and reduction.

The construction industry was the largest application segment and accounted for a revenue share of more than 50% in 2017. The product is widely used in coatings, cement, aggregates, pipes & tiles and other construction products.
