Industrial grade isopropyl myristate is a colorless and highly viscous liquid. It has a strong odor similar to that of coconut oil. It is usually sold in the form of white crystalline powder, which upon analysis turns out to be mostly consist of Isopropyl Myristate (IPM). The product finds application in various industries including personal care, pharmaceuticals, nutraceuticals and cosmetics among others.
