The treatment of a keloid is not always necessary, but there are a few things you can do to help reduce the size or appearance of a keloid. If the keloid is causing pain or discomfort, your doctor may recommend surgery to remove it.

Ooclusive dressing is a medical term used for the application of dressings that cover the entire wound and do not allow any external air to come in contact with it. Ooclusive dressing includes two types of materials namely non-adherent and adhering films or sheets. These products are generally made up of hydrocolloids such as carboxy methylcellulose (CMC) or hydroxypropyl methyl cellulose (HPMC).


Compression Therapy:


Compression therapy is a technique that involves the use of bandages or garments to reduce swelling and inflammation. Compression therapy is used in the treatment of keloid (a raised, bumpy, red scar) and other types of chronic wounds. It helps to decrease pain and promotes healing by reducing cellular activity in the body.
