4N is the current term used for Lanthanum oxide. It is a rare earth oxide and has been known to have some very unique properties. The most common property that it shares with other rare earth oxides is that it shows high thermal stability, which allows its use in applications where high heat resistance is required.
It also has good electrical conductivity, which makes it useful for producing ceramics.
