Lead Dibasic Phosphite:


Lead dibasic phosphite (Pb(O)2P2) is a lead compound used as an antiseptic and preservative. It has high commercial importance in the production of paints, coatings, and varnishes. Lead dibasic phosphite when added to water or alcohol solutions acts as a stabilizer which prevents the change in coloration due to decomposition.
