Air Pressure Sensors:
Air pressure sensors are used to measure the air pressure. It is a mechanical device that works on the principle of Wheatstone bridge. The sensor consists of two platinum coils, which are connected by a fragile glass tube filled with mercury. As an object is pressed against the glass tube, it changes the shape and size of gaps in between the platinum coils thereby changing electrical conductivity across its surface.

Liquid pressure sensors are also used in coal liquefaction plants to measure the underground liquid coal storage conditions.
