Fenitrothion is a pyrethroid insecticide which is used as an active ingredient in various control agents for locusts and grasshoppers. It has high acute toxicity, low chronic toxicity and intermediate toxicities. Fenitrothion was first registered by Dow Chemical Co., in the U.S.
