The DC (Direct Current) is an electric current generated by a battery. The positive and negative terminals of the battery generate an electrical field, which creates a current in wires leading to the measurement of resistance. AC is the Alternating Current.


Theory of Operation: The position sensing device consists of an AC-powered transducer, a magnetic field generator, and a receptor. The transducer creates an electrical signal that fluctuates with the alternating current. The signal is then amplified by the coil of wire in the magnetic field generator which generates a fluctuating magnetic flux.
