Mud Cap Drilling:
Mud cap drilling is a new technology that has been gaining popularity in the oil & gas industry over the past few years. It involves extracting petroleum fluids from rock pores using high-pressure mud cap drilling process. This technique helps to minimize extraction time and also reduces chances of causing environmental damage by reducing scale formation and corrosion.
Dual Gradient Drilling:
Dual gradient drilling is a method of creating two sets of parallel drill holes, one set at a higher pressure and the other at lower pressure. The technique is used to create multiple sets of test wells in close proximity to each other. These tests wells are then utilized by companies for hydrocarbon exploration and production activities.
The dual gradient drilling process involves setting up two separate wellbores with different pressures and then connecting them using tubing or pipe called the perforating gun.
