420 Stainless Steel:


420 stainless steel is a type of martensitic heat resistant steel which contains approximately 20% nickel and about 17% chromium. It has the ability to withstand temperatures up to 425 °C (800 °F). The material has high corrosion resistance, good formability, and weldability. 420 stainless steel is used in applications where higher strength at elevated temperatures is required such as oil well casings, chemical processing equipment, electrical insulation components etc.
