Product Definition:


A mechanical float level sensor is a device that uses a floating element to detect the level of liquid in a tank. The floating element is typically a ball or bobbin that is attached to a lever arm. As the level of liquid in the tank changes, so does the position of the floating element. This movement can be used to activate or control an electric switch, which then sends an electronic signal indicating the level of liquid in the tank.


Switch Type:


The switch type is used in mechanical float level sensors market for the purpose of on-off detection. It’s a closed circuit with two conductors, one of which is normally connected to the water and other to the air. When there is an increase in pressure difference between these two circuits, then electrical current will flow through this gap and it constitutes as a switch operation.

Continuous Type:


Continuous type level sensors are used in mechanical float level sensors to measure the liquid surface elevation. These devices have a sealed case and can be deployed with or without a protective cover. They contain an internal pressure source that drives the sensor membrane into contact with the liquid, typically oil or water. The physical properties of liquids such as specific heat and thermal conductivity affect how these sensors perform in various applications including temperature measurement, flow rate measurement, and level detection among others.
