Membrane separation biogas upgrading is a process that uses membranes to improve the quality of biogas. The membranes remove moisture, carbon dioxide, and other impurities from the gas, leaving a cleaner and more valuable fuel. This process can be used to upgrade raw biogas into natural gas quality fuel or vehicle-grade gasoline.

Membrane filtration is a process to separate solid particles from liquid or gas by creating a thin film on the membrane surface using pressure as an agent. The particles then pass through the membrane filter due to their smaller size while some contaminants are retained on it due to its hydrophilic nature.


Small Equipment:


Small equipment is used for the purpose of membrane separation in biogas upgrading market. It includes micro filters, nanofiltration membranes, reverse osmosis membranes and nano filtration units. Micro filters are small pore sized filter media that are used for removing particulate contaminants from gases or liquids by selective adsorption.
