Metal plating ABS is a thermoplastic with a metal coating. The metal coating makes the plastic harder and more durable. It is used in products that need to be strong and durable, such as automotive parts, tools, and electronics.


High Impact Grade:


High-Impact Grade (HI-GR) is a plating formulation used for decorative and high wear resistance applications in metal plating ABS markets. It offers properties such as ductility, hardness, malleability & flexibility which are not available with other conventional grades of metals. HI-GR materials have been developed to overcome the limitations of low impact strength exhibited by commercial pure nickel alloys.


High Rigidity Grade:


High Rigidity Grade (HRG) ABS is a type of acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS) that has high dimensional stability and low flexibility. It is used in metal plating applications where rigidity is desired. HRG ABS can be produced by different methods including the conventional method, catalytic hydrolysis method, and an esterification reaction using sulfuric acid or phosphoric acid as a catalyst.
