The Metallographic Specimen Inlay Machine is used to inlay metallographic specimens into a matrix. The importance of the machine is that it allows for the examination of a cross-section of metal without having to cut the entire sample.
Mannual:
Mannual is a device that enables the operator to adjust the micro-kerf thickness while installing mannual metal inlay panels. It also allows for easy removal of waste and over-cut during panel cutting. The machine consists of two main components, an arbor and a spindle assembly, which are used to support the panel while it is being cut.
Automatic:
Automatic specimen inlay machine is used for manufacturing metalographic specimens. It consists of various components such as a control unit, camera head, light source and optics system, X-Y positioning mechanism with high accuracy and speed. The whole process takes place within the closed chamber where the material to be examined is placed on an aluminum stage which is then lowered by gravity or manually by a push button located outside the chamber.
