The chemical formula for pharmaceutical-grade MCA is (CH3)2COH, which contains one molecule of hydrogen and two molecules of carbon dioxide.


Industrial Grade:


Industrial grade is used in Methane Culfonic Acid (MCA) market as a catalyst for the desired transformation. It helps in increasing the yield of MCA and at the same time, reduces costs associated with it. The industrial grade catalysts are made up of different materials such as ruthenium, rhodium, iridium oxide among others which have different properties to perform various functions during chemical reactions.
