The addition of the methyl group makes the molecule more stable, which results in a harder, more durable product.

98% Purity is a form of Methylated Melamine Resin (MHR), which has been used as an important feedstock for the production of Polymethyl Methacrylate (PMMA) and other high-quality plastics. 98% Purity grade offers properties such as low ash, good flow, excellent color & gloss, and high molecular weight that are highly valued in the manufacturing of PMMA.


Other:


Other is a generic name for all the monomers, other than methyl methacrylate (MMA), used in manufacturing methylated melamine resin. The most commonly used other monomer is styrene. Other monomers include acrylonitrile, butadiene, and acrylic acid among others. Methylated melamine resins are widely utilized as adhesives and binders in the wood industry owing to their high strength and durability along with excellent water resistance properties.
