Rigid foams are polymeric materials that exhibit rigid or semi-rigid properties. They can be segmented into two types depending on their softness levels namely hard and very hard. The different types of rigid foams include closed cell, open cell, multi-cellular and cellular.
Flexible Foam:
Flexible foam is a type of polyurethane that can be easily expanded and contracted. It has high durability, low density, and open-celled structure. Flexible foams are produced by the polymerization process of isocyanates including methylene diphenyl diisocyanate (MDI) or toluene diisocyanate (TDI).
Application Insights:
