Product Definition:


A motor starter is a combination of electrical and mechanical components used to start and stop electric motors. The electrical components convert AC power into DC power to energize the motor, and the mechanical components disengage or engage the motor based on the operator's commands.


Motor starters are important for two reasons. First, they protect workers by stopping the motor if there is a problem with it. Second, they protect equipment by shutting down the motor if it starts to overheat or overload.


DC:


DC is the abbreviation for Direct Current. It is a continuously varying electric current produced by an electric battery. The term “direct” in direct current means that there are no intermediate conductors between the source and load terminals of the battery. DC circuits do not require any converts or transformers to change their low-voltage (low amperage) into high voltage (high amperage).


AC:


Electricity is the most common source of energy used in a motor starter and protection components market. It is produced when two wires are connected to the battery terminals and electric current flows between them. The more frequently these two wires are connected to power sources, the more electricity there will be in them and thus it can provide enough energy for starting as well as protecting various devices from damage.
