Above 99%:


n-undecane, also known as above 99% n-undecane (A99) is a type of petroleum based liquid. It has the chemical formula C10H22. It is a colorless and highly viscous liquid with an odor similar to that of gasoline.


Below 99%:


It is a type of organic compound that has C-C double bond on the carbon chain. The chemical formula for n-undecane is C10H22, and its physical form is usually a white waxy solid. It also exists in colorless liquid form, which has a very strong odor similar to gasoline. The compound also exists in an oil soluble (0% water) and insoluble (100% water) forms.


Application Insights:


The chemical segment dominated the global n-undecane market accounting for over 55% of the overall revenue in 2017. The product is used as a feedstock for manufacturing various chemicals such as polymers, resins, adhesives and elastomers. Polyvinyl alcohol is one of the major products derived from n-undecane which finds application in water treatment and oil recovery processes.
