The most common types of high intensity sweetener used today are aspartame and acesulfame potassium (Ace-K).
Low Intensity:
Low Intensity (LI) is a form of alternative sweeteners used in food and beverages. It has zero calories, carbohydrates or fat and hence can be used as a substitute for sugar. The product is generally derived from plant-based sources such as stevia, erythritol or xylitol.
The global low intensity market size was valued at USD 536 million in 2016.
